The last few weeks, I have been on a tumultuous emotional ride. AndI have been doing what I do best when the whirlwind of change rears it's head: lying low and staying as still as possible. Because of the fact that it's so easy to become swept up by these tides of emotional, my core response has nearly always been to retract into a quite place (metaphorically speaking, of course), and allow things to blow up and reorganize anew, without much input on my part.
This seems easy enough, but I assure you my friends that its not. The easiest thing is to get caught up and shoot the messenger. Blame a person, a situation, an occurrence or anything of that token, always seems like the first reaction...this happened to me because of this, or you did this and blooh blahh woo - the trick is to remember that it's all for a reason. It all happens for a purpose, even though one might not be aware of it. The messenger is the scapegoat, if you will. The important part is the message. What is the purpose of what's going on. Why the sudden change? Is the situation that is spinning out of control serving your higher purpose? Are we holding on just because it's familiar? The best thing is to just breath, and let go...
listen to the message, rather than shooting the messenger, and be the calm in the storm.
Blessed be, my friends.

Friends, today's post has been delayed due to circumstances beyond my control...I promise a card reading for the week as soon as I am able to conduct one.
Until then, I wish you all a learned day and a blessed week: full of lessons toward integration into your higher purpose and selves.
Blessings and light.

Insiration comes in many ways and wears many faces: for the last few weeks, all of my muses have failed to inspire me and thought provoking and lifting articles seem to be something hard for me to come by. Although the appreance of lighthearded gay days may be the projected image that may always come from my posts, the truth is that we all go through rough times, and have rough patches - I'm not excempt from these. In fact, I've been having quite a few of them. But, my constant is simply, that I rise.
It's hard to get up every morning when one feels the heay burden that is this 3d existince, but the given greace comes in thr form of morning. We all know that tomorrow there will be another day. It's always great to know that tomorrow, may or will be better. The deciding factor is me (or in your case, you). We can always make it better tomorrow.
I am proud to say melancholy days bring me peace - in the long run, of course - and help me realize the changes that need to be made. Of course they suck when they happen, but the good thing is that without them, I can never change anything. They help me remember the things that I need to overhaul within my life, in order to bring a better tomorrow.
So what have I learned with this new overhaul? I'll tell you:
A) The stuff that you put into your mouth really does make a difference. Think about it. The difference that you feel when you eat a pizza or a bowl of pasta vs. a salad, a piece of fruit or water vs a fizzy soda drink, is immense. I can not stress this enough. In my roller coaster ride with food, I've learned deeply that the food that you put in, makes a big difference in your mood, and day.
B) Too much sleep is not good: I've been playing catch up with sleep, ever since the word twins came into my vocabulary. Slept 3 hours last night, let me make it up this morning. If I wake up at 6 am I will go back to sleep for an hour then wake up and catch up. What happens? I wake up more tired the second time around. I should've just gotten up the first time and gotten the day started.
C) Lack of activity, creates, stagnation. We all need to move. The more inactive we allow ourselves to be, the more tired we become. Somedays, a good stretch, breaths, and vigorous jumps, walk, or run, makes all of the difference in the world. If I'm feeling tired, and need to get stuff done, the tv is the last place that I turn. Instead, I will turn on the radio, and do something.
D) Water is my friend. The benefits are too many to list. But I've learned that it permeates and infiltrates, ever sense of my life.
and finally, but definitely not least or last:
E) Spending time with those that matter and enjoying it! There is nothing better, than enjoying time with those that you love. Away from distractions, to do lists. tv's, movies, errands, etc. Just being with them and having fun, makes all of the difference in the world. Being present with them, in this time, and just being free to enjoy it, creates.
In closing, I wish you all happy findings though the rough times, and overhauling those things that no longer work, in order for you to find the things that do work, and bring you LIFE. Not existence, but the sense of living. Rought times may come again, but at least we know that they have a purpose...let's keep growing.
Love, Light and Blessings

Oppression (traditional deck; The Tower)
This card, although dark in its appearance, brings with it hope. Carrying the feeling of oppression, and feeling like situations or circmstatnces in your life have become too unbearable to deal with this card is a reminder that there is hope around the corner - all we need is faith. It reminds us, that all is not lost and that all we need to do is just know that everything will turn out better.
The story associated with this card is one of hope. According to the Goddess Tarot:
"During the Dreamtime, a mythic time when gods and goddesses still walked the earth, the Wawalak, a pair of Australian aboriginal sister goddesses, accidentally polluted the sacred waterhole of Yurlungur, the Great Rainbow Serpent, with a single drop of menstrual blood. In angry response, rain poured down and the waterhole flooded.
Yurlungur then emerged from the waterhole and swallowed the sisters in a huge gulp. It was until later when Yurlungur was told to regurgitate the sisters that the Wawalak were reborn into the light."
This card beckons us to release ourselves from those old thought patterns and behaviors that might be bringing us darkness and misery, in order for us to come into the light. It also serves as a beakon of light, with the knowledge that a new situation that is coming around to bring light after a long period of darkness. Patience and trust is all that is needed - for the situation is about ready to turn itself. Although this may seem a bit frightnining, the power comes with the knowledge that nothing good or positive happens unless a catalyst was present.
Thoughts for the week: No situation is given to us in vain, the trick is to have faith in knowing that just like everything else, the tide will turn and all will have been worth it.
Blessings and light

Queen of Cups
This card comes forth to remind us all to be nurturing and loving towards one another. This is a card that represents living harmonious with others and taking care of our selves and those around us. It reminds us to look within and find those things that are beautiful, artful and creative in our lives, as a way to express that which is so deep inside of us all. It reminds us to be mindful of that creative feminine and wise energy so that we can take that which surrounds us, and give it life in order to be an inspiration for ourselves as well as others. This card is a reminder that all of the answers that we need lie deep within and that reflection is all that is needed to attain harmony and balance. It signifies being in love: pure white and unadulterated love that cleanses, purifies, and brings together.
When we are not living up to the energies present in this card, the opposite comes fort. Rather than balance and harmony, we feel overwhelmed by our everyday, emotions, and by the circumstances that appear in our lives. We feel taken over by emotions that have not been sorted and left without a voice or clarity. It may also signify disharmonious relationships with women as opposed to ourselves.
Insight for the week: It's time to pay attention to the feminine energy that lies within - with the purpose of brining together and cleansing. If one is feeling overwhelmed, rather than blaming or pointing fingers, it's time to be responsible for energies that exist, go within and try to sort out the underlying patterns, dishonesty with oneself with the purpose of harmonizing...
Feel free to add anything that I might have left out, in the comment sections for all to learn from and heal.
Blessings moving forward.

It's been a long few weeks for this lady. I've been going through life's ups and down, amidst of all of the changes, emotions and feelings (nope not the same thing) to muddle through all of this life stuff. So much indeed, that I've again had to retreat into that place of quiet sanctity in order to find balance and peace. But as always, I am back and ready to go where this road takes me.
So what have I learned, you say? Ok, I will tell you, since you asked so nicely *smile*
First and foremost, I relearned that it's not about where you are going or your desired outcome but about how you get there. It is so easy to say I want to do X Y or Z with my life, but is it really possible to get there without the inbetween stuff? Think about it objectively. If you reflect back to 5 years ago, and you remember where you were at that time do you think that you were capable of handling all of the things then, that you do now? Nope because that prepared you for this reality that you are in now - just by you doing what you though was right, or what eer you were doing. So relax, sit back and enjoy the ride - in full awareness, knowing that what you are doing is for a reason - even though the reason many not be clear or may seem "unimportant" or boring.
Second, I learned not to be so hard on myself. I am one of those persons that thinks she is never doing enough. I should be doing this or that. Why didn't I complete a or b or simply put, I'm always making myself miserable because I learned to be a martyr at an early age: deprograming this has taken years! But the more I really look around, the more I realize that I can only do what at the moment it possible. Why worry about the things that I could have, should have, would have done if only. All this serves to do is make one insane and have an immense amount of self doubt. What I now, is simply, the most that I can do at that moment: the most that I can in at that particular time.
Third, and probably the most important because it holds the other two up high and honors the intention, is living 100% unabridged and positively in my truth. No matter what others think of me, what I think of myself (because though can be just self-deprecating chatter that one must overcome). The more you live in your truth and stay honest to what you want or are feeling, the better your life will be. Truth as they say, sets us free, and by living it, you free yourself, and allow others to do the same. If you are not honest with yourself and others, how can you expect to grow? Not living your truth has the enormous pitfall that it allows us to live behind smoke and fog, as long as you stay in that state. The thing about this is that you're disconnected from the true purpose of the situation that you're denying, only bringing more and more of the same because of the simple fact that you're not allowing the lesson to come through with its message. Don't be afraid, because we all get what we put out there. It's better to life honest with yourself - live and fail through your choices, than through someone else's for you - and this always leads to regret.
And finally, I learned to enjoy! Just let go. Let go of everything and enjoy right now. That's what it is for. Do what you want, do it honestly, and trust that it's all for a reason. Think about it...reflect.

I would like to bid farewell to all of my lovely followers! I have decided, that at this time, I can no longer conduct readings on a regular basis, for a brand new, exciting venture has been called forth, and I with all intent and purposes have decided to take the reigns!
I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to have been blessed with you all, so that we may touch each other's lives in such important ways. Through consciousness raising interactions, I have been blessed with the opportunity to touch your lives and have you all touch mine, in one way or the other. To those that I have conducted readings for, know that I am eternally grateful to have the chance to shed light for you, and have you do the same for me with your great feedback and support through the these times.
Please know that in this thing that we call life, we are all responsible to do our part and help one another grow: through one another. You have all provided me with growth, as well as I've given it to you - let's keep the momentum going and pay if forward.
In short, although I am putting all of my eggs into another basket, I will give over the reading portion of this site to someone else, but will maintain the right to write for the blog, bringing you thoughts and messages geared towards illumination, as well as other thought provoking articles as I can.
Please email me with any questions, comments or concerns that you may have.
Inspirationally yours,
VM

What a great time of year. Seasons changing and time for learning and putting projects together. Whether career related, spiritual, or personal, we are all gearing up to meet those manifestations that we've generated. What a time indeed!
It's time to put the "pedal to the metal" and get stuff done! This is the right time of the year. We are all in the realization, that time is passing and we must move forward - this is always the season for change. Our internal clocks tell us so. We feel somehow, that there are things that need to be done, and tasks that need to come out of the woodwork. Explaining why so many of us make resolutions at this time of the year. It's a new beginning. A time to start again, and make something happen! Something beneficial, to make our lives happier and feel more fulfilled.
This age of change is a great time to hold true to those goals that we've been nursing for so long, and finally give birth to them. Let's set out and get ready for the days ahead, by living mindfully, true to our hearts, and give it our all: knowing that this is what you're here for. To see your potential grow everyday.
Know that every new day is special and a gift to start again and renew.
So, instead of saying Happy New Year - I say "Happy New Day!" While you follow these energies, that are flowing in, and make every day a new start: and where you start fresh with a new lease on life, and live everyday and moment, like it's a New Year.

The time for the mini readings has passed and I would like to formally thank all of you who've requested readings from me, as well as those who keep up with me and my site. It is because of all of you that I do this work.
I want to let you all know that this process is a mutually beneficial one. Although I am the one conducting the readings for you, I am learning from all of you as well. It is through our interactions that we learn and become more aware of the in between process of what life and these experiences are really about.
I've been a busy bee over the last few weeks, and feel eternally grateful for this opportunity to grow through you all.
Stay posted and don't feel shy to message me, comment, or keep me updated on those things that we've discussed.
To all others that were not able to receive a reading, please don't fret: I will post another soon enough!
Blessings and light, my friends.
